Formal

A formal type rectangular, or geometric pool offers a simple, classic and timeless look. This shape is by far the most popular and offers a natural complement when adding a spa or unique features like an automatic safety cover. Normal traditional pools are shallow on one end and deep on the other. Typically there will be a small level area off of the steps which begins to drop a few feet into the pool. Geometric pools usually have very straight lines or a consistent radius and are typically more traditional looking. (Lately, there seems to be a shift back to the geometric pool.)
