Using Your Pool for a Staycation

 In Backyard Living, Poolside Living

There is no greater feeling than relaxing near a beautiful pool, with a cocktail in hand while absorbing the warmth of the sun’s rays. The weather is beautiful and you don’t have a care in the world – you’re truly in paradise.

No, this is not a 5-star tropical resort; it’s your backyard!

While on vacation, traveling isn’t your only available option. The concept of “staycation” is becoming increasingly popular because it allows you to sit back and relax without having to spend an exorbitant amount of money. Staycations are the perfect way to relax with all the comforts of home while also allowing yourself to escape from the stress of everyday life. Staycations are an excellent option for pool owners because it allows them to get the most out of their pool during the summer.

Your Personal Oasis

Sure, you may think that your pool is average; but by adding special features, however, your own backyard can become a personal resort.  You can add a waterfall or fountain to your landscaping, which bolsters the resort atmosphere. You can add a sun shelf or even laminar jets, which will truly maximize your relaxation time.

Think about it: Why would you want to put yourself through the hassle of going on vacation when you don’t even have to leave your backyard? You can avoid the stress of airports, renting a car, or booking a hotel. While other people are waiting in lines at amusement parks or stuck at the airport due to a flight delay, you can be relaxing in your own custom and personalized paradise.

Your personal backyard resort will not experience the wear and tear of a commercial resort swimming pool. You won’t have to worry about getting a good spot near the pool, and you won’t have to deal with annoyances like loud guests or splashing children.

Get Grillin’!

Going out to eat while on vacation can weigh heavily on your bank account. But preparing food on a staycation can be great, especially if you own a backyard grill.

You don’t need to have your meals inside; by choosing to dine outside near your pool, you can utilize your outdoor kitchen while enjoying beauty and serenity in your backyard. You can have a nice family dinner, or even have a romantic, candlelit dinner for two while watching the sunset.

Have a Pool Party

The more the merrier, right? What better way to enjoy your staycation by making it a group event?  You can have a huge party so that your loved ones can enjoy your pool, or you can even have a small gathering and make it a day at the spa.

Enjoy Some Quality Relaxation Time

Who says you need to travel to a tropical resort to have a great vacation? Doing so can be stressful, not to mention expensive. So instead of traveling, lather yourself with sunscreen and go tanning outside, take a nap near the pool, or just float around and enjoy the water. Whether you’re overdo for some time off work or you just need a weekend escape, a vacation should be about you, and your opportunity to relax and unwind.
